Cardiac Consultation & Preventive Heart Checkup
A structured first consultation: your history, a focused examination, and only the tests that your risk profile actually calls for.
What it is
A consultation with Dr. (Prof.) Tarun Kumar begins with your story — symptoms, family history, existing conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure, and lifestyle. A focused clinical examination follows, and investigations (ECG, echocardiography, blood work) are advised only where your history and risk profile justify them.
When it's needed
Book a consultation if you have symptoms such as chest discomfort, breathlessness on exertion, palpitations, or unexplained fatigue — or if you have no symptoms but carry risk factors: diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, a family history of early heart disease, smoking, or a sedentary routine past the age of 40.
What to expect
Bring your previous reports, prescriptions, and a list of current medicines. The visit ends with a clear plan: what (if anything) needs testing, what needs treating, and when to follow up. If your reports are normal, you leave with a realistic prevention plan rather than an unnecessary procedure.
Chest pain that is severe, new, or accompanied by sweating or breathlessness is an emergency — go to the nearest emergency department rather than waiting for an OPD appointment.
