Hypertension & Cardiac Risk Management
Long-term control of blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes-related cardiac risk — the quiet, continuous work that prevents heart attacks.
What it is
Most heart attacks are the end of a long, silent story: years of raised blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar quietly damaging arteries. This service is the ongoing management of that story — measuring your actual risk, treating the numbers that matter, and reviewing progress on a schedule instead of waiting for an event.
What it covers
Blood pressure evaluation and treatment (including resistant hypertension), lipid management, cardiac risk assessment for diabetics in coordination with your physician, and structured follow-up. Targets are individualized — an 80-year-old and a 45-year-old should not be chasing the same numbers.
What to expect
An initial risk assessment (history, examination, blood work, ECG — further testing only if indicated), a written treatment plan combining medication and realistic lifestyle change, and reviews at defined intervals. Where blood pressure control needs home monitoring, you'll be shown how to measure correctly so decisions are made on good data.
